Maryen Cairns

Singer/Songwriter
Songs from the natural world…
Songs from the Goddess…
Songs from the heart…
Maryen Cairns is an original songwriter with an exquisitely expressive voice. She’s had one hell of an interesting life and has lived in every sense of the word. Her recent material is focused on the magnificent natural world that we live in, complete with the intense spirituality surrounding us all and especially in relation to womanhood. She is passionate about freedom of choice and spreading the word of free will and not promoting the culture of fear that permeates the society we live in.

Mad Cowboy Disease

Mad Cowboy Disease play their unique style which is so eclectic it encompasses everything from country blues through to latin dance and hard core techno. Lyrically they slaughter Sacred Cows faster than they could at an abattoir, with front man Jossie Critter mocking all and sundry including the band when they present their sardonic cabaret live. Their debut album One Trick Pony is receiving wide spread radio airplay and is in Triple J's Unearthed program online voting list.

David Griffith

David's songs are a vast palate of subject matter ranging from celebratory to confrontational, and he delivers them in a broad spectrum of styles, from ballad through to rock. What makes David Griffith's songs especially unique apart from the lyrical content is the swirling melodies and his lilting voice through his music. David has recently released a third CD, Saucepan Bach, which sees him continuing to collaborate with Australian guitar legend Bob Spencer. This new offering is harder edged in places than David's previous work. David Griffith recently performed at the Australian Singer Songwriters' Concert at Darling Harbour and is to appear at this year's Ironfest and Blackheath Food and Wine Festival. David presented a forty-five minute set of his music on March 31 in the Ballroom of the Imperial Hotel Songwriters Nights.

Michael-John Azzopardi

Described as an “Esoteric genius with a penchant for intricate acoustic masterpieces”. Michael-john is a masterful guitarist with a richly textured voice whose music draws on Celtic and Eastern folk, blues, roots and alternative styles. Combining traditional and not-so traditional songs with his own original compositions of which it has been said “reach right into the listener and take a firm hold on the soul”

Ash Wanders

Ash Wanders has travelled the North Coast, Melbourne , Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydeney and The Blue Mountains with his compelling music. He is a singer -songwriter guitarist who writes healing songs for anyone who has loved and lost, he also writes about world issues like nuclear proliferation, new world order, as well as human and animal rights issues. his music has been compared to Augie March , Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Nick Drake. His music and Lyrics are both intense and soothing, his soaring vocals are well worth discovering.

Toni Farlow

Toni is a relative newcomer to the professional music scene, recording her first CD, Blue Moment, in 2007 though her stage presence and musical competence belie this fact. Her performance at the recent Blackheath Wine and Food Festival was one of the highlights . The heartfelt lyrics are accompanied by a solo fingerpicking style that obliviates the need for percussion or accompaniment and provides a haunting performance.
Toni has been playing her jazz folk fusion around the Central West for the last four years, delighting the punters and her peers.

The Last Train Home

The Last Train Home is the latest band from Ian Collins - guitar, Peter Ball-lead guitar, Will Gray-drums and Glen Davidson on bass, all from Katoomba playing original music that falls somewhere between the Beatles and the Clash but with a definite mountains sound. A rare opportunity to see them perform together.
