Our stall combines the talents of a group of friends from the central west. Our love for creating Jewellery has led us all to focus on different areas of Jewellery design.

Lyndsay Abreu has been beading for around three years. Her passion for beading and design led her to open her store “The Ephemera Emporium” in Russell Street Bathurst in May last year.
As well as the usual range of high quality glass beads and Swarovski crystal, Lynn has stocked the shop with lovely semi-precious gemstones, a wide range of sterling silver, Bali silver and rolled gold findings, and a huge range of seed beads. She holds classes for Beginner Beading, Wirework, Seed Beading and Chain-maille at the store.

Lynn loves working with seed beads and has created some amazing pieces with beaded cabochons and beautiful bead-embroidered pieces. Her other love is working with semi-precious gemstones and sterling silver. Lynn was very successful in the recent Bathurst Royal Show where she won 1st in Woven 3D article with a stunning bead-embroidered cuff bracelet. She also won two Highly Commended awards in the Semi-Precious Gemstone and Woven sections.

Judy Attard (Maillemade by Judi) specializes in Chain-Maille Jewellery and she especially loves to work with sterling silver. She has infinite patience when working with the tiniest sterling silver jump rings of only 1.75mm inside diameter. With these tiny rings she has created some beautiful pieces which are so delicate while being amazingly intricate. Her work has to be seen to be believed!

Joyce Reilly loves to work with seed beads and creates beaded sculptures and wall hangings each of which contain thousands of seed beads and many, many hours of work. Some of her wonderful pieces include “The Money Tree”, “Madame Butterfly” and “The Bead Tamer”. “The Bead Tamer” also incorporates some chain-maille done by her daughter Judy.

Narelle Bennett lives in the beautiful Capertee Valley and has only recently joined our group. While relatively new to beading, she has designed and made some really lovely pieces. Narelle focuses on combining wire work with semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, and swarovski crystals to create stunning one-off pieces and sets. Narelle is Publicity Officer for the very successful Portland Art Society.

Anne-Maree Summers loves to work with wire—any wire. However, her special favourites are sterling silver and 14k gold-filled wires. Her gorgeous Turtle Brooch—created using Petoskey Stone and silver wire—won 1st place in the Jewellery Piece Worked Using Metal section of the Bathurst Royal Show this year. She also won 3rd place in the Woven section with a lovely woven swarovski crystal bracelet. Anne teaches the very popular Wirework classes at Lynn’s store.

The work of all these talented designers is available from “The Ephemera Emporium”, 237 Russell Street, Bathurst.
