To All Our Great Participants
This year’s Ironfest is looking great. We are expecting to attract our biggest crowd yet; our entertainment program is looking fantastic, and we are all getting very excited. But there are some very important things to note.
The actual access for all participants to the site has changed. Please read the following carefully.
Barton Street will be blocked to through traffic from the eastern side of the Showground (ie from the side that most stallholders, performers (& visitors) have previously used to access the Showground).
Therefore, to enter the site & access parking, participants will need to approach the festival site from the western end of Barton St. The best way to do this is to get onto the Highway and turn off at the Lithgow Visitor Centre. We strongly recommend you check a road map on how to do this.

Living History participants have their own access gate this year. (See map)
Due to the numerous site changes there will be no vehicular site access available for performers who should enter by foot at the Participant Gate (See map).
Stallholder internal site access and parking procedures have also changed.
All vehicles entering the site must have a mobile phone contact number & the name of the exhibitor displayed on the vehicle’s wind-screen in a readable position.
All stallholders are asked to unload as quickly as they can and to then move their vehicle to one of the designated locations (There are two locations: adjacent to the Participant Entry gate & in the Pool Area. See map.)
There is no on-site parking available. (Stallholder’s wishing to incorporate their vehicle into their stall must disguise/ cover their vehicle over so that it is not easily visible.)
All stallholder’s and performers vehicles must be off site, by 9.30am
Sorry for all the restrictions, but Ironfest has now grown to such an extent that these rules must be enforced so that everyone involved has as stress free time as possible.
